TIFTON, GA. -- A woman and her husband were robbed at gunpoint Saturday night at their home off U.S. Highway 82 West in Tift County.
Tifton police say the couple arrived home and were confronted by two black men dressed in all black with black ski masks covering their faces. One robber had a gun.
The wife and husband, who have not been identified, told police that the men forced them to lie down on the floor in the living room and then demanded money.
The men reportedly kicked the husband several times in the head and in the face. Several personal items were stolen from the property, including a black, leather wallet, an Ameris Bank debit card, a Regions Bank debit card, a Planters First Bank debit card, a Georgia driver’s license, a Georgia I.D. card and an accordion-style file folder with miscellaneous papers.
Pry marks were found on the back door of the home.
The wife reported that the robbers left and ran to a black Ford car parked in the middle access driveway in the mobile home park.
According to Lt. Porter Jackson, the Tifton Police Department has no leads at this time. The couple was unable to identify the robbers.
