Dougherty County Commissioners gave their support to the Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau for the International Festival this fall

ALBANY, GA. -- County Commissioners unanimously agreed to support Albany’s third annual International Festival, scheduled for October 2nd from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. downtown.

Festival organizer Lisa Riddle says the event will be family friendly and have activities for everyone.  “We’ll have lots of different international flavors for food, we’ll have different entertainment including different people doing different cultural dances, singing, and all kinds of performances” says Riddle.

Albany can experience a slight economic boost the weekend of the festival because officials are predicting between 3 to 5,000 people will attend.
