38-year-old Ellen Odom Adams of Cordele was killed in a traffic accident Saturday morning
CORDELE, GA -- A 38-year-old Cordele woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning.
Officials with the Crisp County Sheriff's Department say Ellen Odom Adams was driving her truck north on U.S. 41 near Rockhouse Road when she ran off the road and struck a tree. A deputy sheriff was on routine patrol shortly after 4:30 a.m. when he spotted the truck in a ditch. EMS and firefighters worked for more than an hour to get Adams out of the truck.
She was rushed to the Crisp County Hospital but died in the emergency room.
