The Albany Fire Department battled a fire in a storage building at 120 Flint Avenue Sunday afternoon

ALBANY, GA. -- Fire fighters were returning from an alarm call when they noticed thick black smoke and flames coming from 120 Flint Avenue.

Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief Matthew Jefferson says the building was being used for storing props from Deerfield Windsor and other local schools.  Officials say no one was injured during the fire.  “We went inside, searched, and made sure there were no victims inside the location.  There were some people in Club River, but they were already out by the time the first unit arrived” says Jefferson.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and officials will finish the investigation tomorrow.
