AMF Bowling in Albany held a tournament Friday that brought in some special athletes from all around Georgia

ALBANY, GA -- AMF Bowling in Albany held a tournament Friday that brought in some special athletes from all around Georgia.  Special Olympics athletes traveled near and far for the Strikers' Classic Masters Bowling invitational. About 175 people came out for first annual bowling tournament.  Kristin Caso from Albany Recreation and Parks says the tournament is a big deal; not only for them but for the athletes. “I was a unified partner in bowling last year and I won a silver metal. And I could tell you, when they played the Special Olympics music and put that silver metal on me, I mean I almost started to cry because it meant so much to me. So I know what it means to these athletes” says Caso.  Officials say this is a warm up for the state competition, August 20-22 in Warner Robins, Georgia.
