Vandals target Blue Springs Rd.

ALBANY, GA. -- Since July 1st, six different locations in the Blue Springs Road area of Dougherty County have been damaged by vandals.

The mailboxes have been smashed and stolen and car windows shattered, sometimes shot out by a bb or pellet gun.

The damage occurs at night, leaving victims to make an unpleasant discovery the next morning.

According to Dougherty County Police, an area like Blue Springs is particularly vulnerable to vandalism. It’s in an isolated section of the county and the homes are farther back, away from the road.

Police have increased their patrols along Blue Springs Road to help prevent further incidents and to hopefully ensnare the culprits.

They are also asking for help from the public.
