Authorities have indicted an Atlanta police officer accused of threatening to kill a friend's boyfriend
ATLANTA (AP) -- Authorities have indicted an Atlanta police officer accused of threatening to kill a friend's boyfriend.
According to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, authorities have charged 35-year-old Zone 4 Officer Killroy F. Jackson with aggravated assault, making a terroristic threat and violating his oath of office.
The allegations stem from a Jan. 22 incident. Prosecutors say T'Miya Hayward told friends her boyfriend, Deandre Stafford, took her cell phone and refused to return it. Authorities allege Jackson was off duty when he came to Hayward's residence and allegedly confronted Stafford.
Witnesses allege Jackson slammed Stafford against a wall and put a gun to his head, threatening to kill him if he did not return the phone.
A woman who answered at a phone number listed for Jackson Wednesday said he did not want to talk to the press.
