ATLANTA -- A Grady Memorial Hospital ambulance that was stolen while paramedics were in an Atlanta apartment complex on a sick call has been found in a ditch a few blocks away.
Atlanta police say the ambulance was found just before midnight Wednesday with its engine still running.
Police say paramedics had left the engine running while they made their call in southeast Atlanta.

Atlanta police Lt. Antonio Clay says nothing was missing from the ambulance when it was found.
Police are hoping that a recording device in the ambulance captured a picture of the thief.
