Damon Evans resigns
On a day when many Georgians were celebrating a holiday, University of Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans got the official word that his holiday will be permanent one, at least where UGA is concerned.
Speaking over the telephone at a news conference Wednesday morning, Dr. Michael Adams told reporters that he had accepted Evans’ resignation. He also said he was “very disappointed” in Evans and that his behavior was “not an example of the type of leadership I expect.

Evans’ resignation officially goes into effect tomorrow. He will receive $100,000 in compensation and 3 months salary.
