WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is huddling with state insurance commissioners today on his health care overhaul.

The president wants to talk to state insurance chiefs about the plan's implementation. A key part of the conversation will be about the plan's new patient protections -- like barring discrimination against those with pre-existing conditions.

Spokesman Bill Burton says Obama's plan is the ultimate patients' bill of rights.

With Republicans campaigning heavily against the cost of Obama's overhaul, he's using events like today's to ensure voters are up to speed on the benefits that kick in this year like keeping children on policies through age 26.
