(AP) -- JEFFERSON, Ga. (AP) - State Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine says an investigation has begun into a fire that damaged a church parsonage and destroyed two 12-passenger vans.

The fire struck the parsonage at Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson early Thursday morning.

Capt. Darrell Chaisson of the Jefferson Fire Department says firefighters contained the fire to the attic and carport, but the building had some structural damage.

He says no one was living in the parsonage and no one was injured in the fire.

Chaisson says lack of wind kept the fire from spreading to the main church building.
