ALBANY, GA. -- Albany police are investigating two bodies discovered in separate incidents.

Police say a black male was found just outside an abandoned house at 525B West Residence Avenue around nine Wednesday morning. Neighbors found the body.  Police are working to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.

In an unrelated incident, a man found his stepfather dead at 2804 Westgate Drive. Police are trying to figure out how 56-year-old Daniel Hirtes died. Police say Hirtes’ stepson was coming into town to visit when the son found the body.

Both cases remain under investigation.
