Officials say the organization can empower more of Albany’s poor with help from volunteers

ALBANY, GA. -- The Strive 2 Thrive organization met to discuss how to get more people in the community involved with the organization.

The group is planning a multi-faceted media campaign.

Organizer Harriet Hollis says it will take the entire community to work together in dozens of different ways to continue the success of the program.  “People don’t understand how many different ways they can get involved.  A church could provide meeting space, someone could help cook, someone else could help with transportation, or child care, or any number of things” says Hollis.

For more information on how to get involved contact Harriet Hollis at HHollis@albanyga.com
