(AP) -- SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Rivalries within the Democratic Party are forcing three Georgia congressmen to defend their seats in the July primaries.

Democratic Reps. John Barrow of Savannah, Hank Johnson of Lithonia and David Scott of Atlanta all picked up primary challengers for their 2010 re-election bids. Voters will decide the races at the polls July 20.

Meanwhile, Georgia's newest House member has to plunge right back into campaigning in North Georgia. Tom Graves won a special election last week to fill what's left of GOP Rep. Nathan Deal's term. Now he has to run again in the primary with five other Republicans.

Eight Republican contenders are also in a free-for-all to succeed longtime Republican Rep. John Linder in metro Atlanta.
