Albany police are investigating a woman’s death they initially believed to be natural.

Police say 24-year-old Shandreka Watson’s death is suspicious. Watson was found dead at her home on 1205 Citrus Court around noon on June 4. Police sent Watson’s body to the crime lab in Macon for an autopsy which was performed Monday. They tell us based on the results, the Albany Police Investigations Bureau is taking up the case.

They’re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS.
