Richardson will be arraigned in the next 60 days
If convicted Richardson could spend up to 20 years in prison
A former Dougherty County teacher accused of hitting a student in March faces more charges.
32-year-old Antonio Richardson faces three misdemeanor charges and now a grand jury added a felony charge of cruelty to a child in the first degree. Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards says the grand jury added the felony charge because of the nature of the alleged injuries.
Richardson will be arraigned in the next 60 days. If convicted he could spend up to 20 years in prison.
