Local college students will soon be able to save cash on textbooks.

Darton College and Albany State University are starting the “Rent-A-Text” program for the Fall 2010 semester. Students can rent certain text books for up to 50 percent less than buying one.

“If you got 50 percent of your student’s books, you say for a semester is $600, it could save you up to $300,” said Darton College Bookstore Manager Shelley Black.
