(AP) -- BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating the shooting death of a 12-year-old elementary school student in a Brunswick home.

Brunswick police Capt. David Seawell confirms the 12-year-old boy was killed Sunday afternoon.

Seawell says at least one other minor was inside the house when a tenant fired a shot that struck the boy.

Deputy Glynn County Coroner Mary Jane Hurd says the boy was pronounced dead at Southeast Georgia Health System's Brunswick hospital after emergency room physicians were unable to resuscitate him.
