The Willson Hospice center received a big check Tuesday from the Snickers Marathon.

Patty Woodall, center director, accepted the check for $10,000. She says she thinks the marathon helps create awareness of the center.

“So, many people don't know about Hospice and they don't come to our program until the last couple days of their life and so they don't get the benefits of all of our services,” Said Woodall.

The marathon has given over $75,000 to the Willson center so far.
