Tift County investigators catch an inmate who escaped from the jail.

Investigators say 22-year-old Keith Carridine somehow got up to the ceiling area of the jail and escaped through the administrative offices around 11 Friday night. Once the jail staff figured out he was missing, they captured Carridine across the street.

Carridine is in jail on armed robbery charges.

The sheriff’s office is reviewing the incident and establishing new protocols to avoid a future breakout.
