Four men are facing gang charges and another man is facing aggravated assault charges for a June 2009 shooting at Carver Pool
The trial for suspected gang members has been postponed until July.
Four men are facing gang charges and another man is facing aggravated assault charges for a June 2009 shooting. 22-year-old Jarnay Evans, 24-year-old Tchywaskie Jones, 26-year-old Dabaowski Luke, and 26-year-old Brandon Taylor are facing gang participation charges. 21-year-old Jerry Lee Harris, Jr. is facing aggravated assault charges. Prosecutors say the five were involved in a shooting at Carver Pool that left Donald Winchester wounded.
Prosecutors dismissed charges against Shaquanah Shade. Shade lied to investigators about the shooting. Shade is a 911 operator and is giving up her certification in exchange for the dismissal. Prosecutors say she was not at the shooting, but is dating Brandon Taylor. Taylor is the alleged leader of the Bloods. Prosecutors say the shooting was a fight between the Bloods and the Crips.
The trial has been continued to July so the defense can examine more evidence.
