Dougherty County police say they are investigating a case where 300 to 500 pounds of copper was taken from the Cooper Tire plant in Albany.
Authorities say the plant manager reported a trash bin used to hold the copper was missing on Wednesday. Authorities say the plant manager said the bin was stolen from the back of a warehouse at the closed tire plant. Police acknowledge that copper thefts have been common in Dougherty County.
