The family living at 3903 Moultrie Road smelled smoke around 11:30 Sunday morning and called 911

Firefighters say an electrical short started a Dougherty County house fire.

The family living at 3903 Moultrie Road smelled smoke around 11:30 Sunday morning and called 911. Firefighters had to use chain saws to cut through the flooring to get to the source of the fire. No one was hurt.

The fire damaged the home’s laundry room and one of the bedrooms.
