The Strive 2 Thrive kickoff dinner is scheduled for Thursday at First United Methodist Church
A campaign to end poverty in Albany is set to kickoff this week.
The Strive 2 Thrive kickoff dinner is scheduled for Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Families in need as well as those who have offered to help them through the program will get to see how the process works.
“It’s open to the public,” said Strive 2 Thrive Coordinator Harriet Hollis. “We want people to come out and see how this process is going to work. It is indeed a process not a program. It takes time and effort and community good will.”
The dinner starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
