Savannah resident Kee Kim says there's no escaping the pollen
The sheets of white snowflakes that briefly covered Savannah streets have given way to powdery pollen particles.
Experts say the city's first snow accumulation in 14 years this February may have something to do with the high pollen counts. They say the unusually cold winter weather may have delayed many plants from blooming until now. And residents with allergies are suffering as a result.
Savannah resident Kee Kim says there's no escaping the pollen - even indoors. She says "even if you close all the windows, it comes in, following your footsteps."
