Kids learn how to grow plants and more

This coming Thursday marks the 40th anniversary of “Earth Day.”

Today, Lowe’s celebrated early by inviting kids out to teach them about the earth and its resources.  Staffers taught them how to grow plants, and about energy and water savings.

Lowe’s Store Manager Mike Daniel says it’s never too early to starting learning about our planet.

“The more we educate the better we’ll be.  The Earth Day is all about preserving the natural resources and that’s what it’s all about, trying to get them to learn about preservation,” said Daniel.

The day wrapped up with a scavenger hunt where kids tried to find energy saving items in the store.
