Dougherty County daycare workers are learning about new resources to help students with disabilities.

Sylvendale Academy held its annual workshop for daycare employees Tuesday.  About 50 daycares sent employees to hear about programs like Babies Can’t Wait, Morning Star Children Family Services, and Easter Seals. Organizers say they’re teaching them to better identify kids with disabilities.

“Statistics has it that if you provide early intervention before grade school, then the success rate is higher,” said Preschool Special Needs Teacher Alpha Felton.

This is the tenth year of the workshop.
