Report says foreclosures in Atlanta declined
(AP) -- A new report says foreclosures in metro Atlanta declined last month.
The report from Equity Depot says Atlanta foreclosure notices for April declined by 24 percent from the previous month and are 4 percent lower than the same month a year earlier for a 13-county area.
The notices published this month are for auctions that will occur next month.
Equity Depot president Barry Bramlett says foreclosures continue to increase for office and retail properties, but residential real estate appears to be stabilizing.
Fulton County has the most foreclosures in the area this month with 1,863, with Gwinnett County second at 1,845. DeKalb County is third at 1,442.
