United States Congressman Sanford Bishop is on a recess from Washington and he stopped at one Dougherty County school to check on CRCT preparations.

Bishop spent part of Tuesday morning reading to students at Northside Elementary School. He also spoke to them about doing well on the upcoming CRCT exam. Northside is one of 22 Dougherty County schools being investigated for unusual erasure marks on last year’s CRCT exams.

Bishop says he is aware of the investigation into the test scores, and says he's confident that this year there won't be any questions surrounding test scores in Dougherty County.

“I look forward to great things from the Dougherty school system and all of the school systems in the second district and in our state,” Bishop said.

CRCT investigation results are expected by the end of April.
