Dougherty County Sheriff’s investigators recovered over $10,000 worth of counterfeit items in the 300 block of Highland Avenue Thursday morning.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Troy Smith on weapons charges and forged or counterfeit trademark violations at the felony level. Investigators say Smith was allegedly selling shoes, purses, and other items out of the back of this 2002 Cadillac Escalade. Authorities say since the vehicle was transporting the items it is also subject to confiscation.
