The Albany Police Department responded to two thefts at local stores

Police say Mellow Mushroom on Nottingham Way experienced a theft, and Target on Dawson Road caught a shoplifter on their cameras.

Target Loss Prevention says 27-year-old Torchica Brown took several items from Target and put them in her purse and left the store without paying.

Brown was arrested immediately and is now at the Dougherty County Jail.
