Lucius T. Solomon III is facing multiple drug trafficking and weapons charges
(AP) -- An Atlanta police officer is facing multiple drug trafficking and weapons charges will go before a judge Friday.
Authorities say 31-year-old Lucius T. Solomon III was arrested Wednesday night. He has a hearing set for 11:30 a.m. He faces seven charges that he attempted to distribute five kilograms of cocaine and possessed a firearm while participating in the cocaine sales.
They say he participated in multiple cocaine sales on at least four occasions between October 2009 and March 2010.
Solomon, an officer in Zone 6, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman on Thursday.
