State lawmakers are asking the city of Albany for clarification on several consolidation issues.
State Senator Freddie Powell Sims sent a letter to the city commission asking it to explain salaries, the CEO position, the map of new districts, and more. The proposed charter would consolidate Albany and Dougherty County governments.
The state senate and house must approve the charter before it goes to a public vote.
