Lee County’s ninth grade campus opened its doors to the public Sunday afternoon.

The school held an open house for students, parents, and community members. The renovated school has been open since the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year, but construction wasn’t finished until three weeks ago. Principal Jamie Horne says now they want to show the community how their tax dollars are being spent.

“It just gives our students their own identity and let’s them have their own campus,” said Horne.

Ninth graders acted as tour guides for the event.
