A marine wounded in Afghanistan is back in Albany.

Lance Corporal Ruben Wright was welcomed home by fellow marines from his unit Tuesday morning. Wright is originally from Florida, but trained at MCLB Albany. Wright was in Afghanistan for three months when a bomb exploded and hurt several marines, including Wright.

“My plan now is to get home with family just relax and get my normal life back,” Wright said.

Wright hurt his shoulder and head, but says he’s feeling fine and plans on deploying again.
