Albany police found a body outside a vacant house in south Albany and they’re now investigating the case as a murder.

Police say the body of 50-year-old Vincent Grant was found outside a home in the 500 block of Cotton Avenue Sunday morning. Grant had a laceration on his head, but no blood was visible on the scene. Police say they have to investigate the case as a homicide until they can rule murder out.

“The body was released to the coroner who tells us that it is now being treated as a homicide,” said Albany Police Department’s Steve Butler. “We don’t have any further details at this point in time. However, it is under investigation and being treated as a homicide.”

We’ll have more updates as soon as they become available.
