Local pastors rally in support of Dr. Joshua Murfree for the Do. Co. superintendent position

The People’s Clergy for Community Involvement sang, chanted, and prayed for Dr. Joshua Murfree to be named superintendent of Dougherty County schools despite the recent lawsuit the school board faced.

The pastors came together to spread a message of support.  “We’ve gathered here today to say to the Dougherty County School Board we the people, we the clergy, we who love in the community are confident and solidified behind you and your selection of Dr. Joshua Murfree the next superintendent of the Dougherty County Schools.  Amen” says Rev. Eddie Bankston, President of PCCI.

The pastors say if some people are displeased with the hiring process they can let their voice be known come school board election time.
