The Delta Sigma Theta Albany Alumni chapter hosted free heart health screenings for the public

Sorority members checked blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index, and handed out educational materials on heart health.

Physical and mental health is one of the sorority’s five key areas of interest. Members say its important to them to give back to the community and educate them in order to keep Albany healthy.

The sorority plans to host another health screening in the future.
