Donations go to Children's Miracle Network

The Albany IHOP restaurant gave away free pancakes to raise awareness and funds for The Children's Miracle Network at Phoebe Hospital.

People poured into IHOP and enjoyed free pancakes while donating money.  IHOP’s goal is to raise $1.75 million nationwide this year for a total of $5 million in five years with its National Pancake Day fundraising effort.

IHOP manager Brittney Buck knows the significance of this event.

“There are millions of kids born every single day especially here in Albany that have problems and without the neonatal unit some of the babies wouldn’t be able to survive,” said Buck.

IHOP served more than 2.5 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2009.
