A man is still on the loose tonight after evading a traffic stop.

Georgia State Patrolmen gave chase Friday night when a blue 2000 model Buick LeSabre almost caused an accident after trying to avoid a traffic stop in Albany. It began at the corner of Westover and West Gordon Road. Troopers say the car approached the traffic stop but then turned around in front of oncoming traffic. They chased the Buick through residential streets, when the driver abandoned the car at West Whitney Avenue and Valencia Drive. Troopers found 1.41 pounds of marijuana in the car.

They are not releasing the name of the owner of the Buick because they're not sure if owner and the driver is the same person.
