Ferguson arrested for aggravated assault and murder
Albany police arrested 36-year-old George Ferguson on murder and aggravated assault charges stemming from the 2009 beating death of Reginald Richardson.
Police say Ferguson was questioned as a victim in the recent “Brick City” murder of LaSheldon Stanford. Ferguson was a security guard at the club where Stanford was shot. Authorities say Ferguson’s name was also tied to the June 2009 homicide of Reginald Richardson. After being interviewed about his involvement police made an arrest. Richardson was beat to death in a gang initiation on Sands Drive.
