Investigators will be keeping a close eye on hand gun sales in Albany.

The Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increased number of multiple hand gun purchases and are keeping a close eye on the buyers.

Authorities say that they are checking up on many purchases because they’re concerned firearms are getting into the wrong hands. Law enforcement also says that guns bought in Southwest Georgia have crossed state lines with other owners. Deputies will be following up on multiple gun purchases locally to keep an eye on the items bought and the buyer.
