Investigators say ammonia leak was in the process of being repaired
The Albany Fire Department responded to an anonymous call from Reddy Ice Corporation on West Society Avenue Monday afternoon about a gas leak in the building.
Investigators say an ammonia leak was reportedly being fixed which prompted the call. Reddy Ice uses ammonia in their refrigeration systems. Fire crews say the call was precautionary and nothing to be concerned about.
