Noticeable snow showers fell in Albany today for the first time in years.

Sherwood Christian Academy’ Elementary school already had a scheduled half day because of teacher’s conferences so the students were excited to get out early to play in the snow.

“I’m going to go out and play and pummel my sister with snowballs,” Donavan Satchell.

“It’s like really weird to like wake up and it’s snowing outside,” said Madison Chambers.

“I prayed it would actually happen on my birth and it’s snowing on my birthday,” said Rebekah Thomas

Many of the students FOX 31 News spoke with, this was there first time seeing snow.
