Tax day is coming up and a few local organizations helped many file their taxes today free of charge.

Certified IRS volunteers with help from the United Way of Southwest Georgia and Albany Community Together helped prepare people’s taxes at no cost.  Individuals or families who had a household income up to $49,000 were eligible.

Other services offered were about opening a bank account, financial literacy, budgeting, and housing.
