Commissioners could prohibit sit-down lunches

Lee County commissioners discussed amendments to their current EMS policy.

The debate was centered around the use of  an ambulance by EMS workers to go out to a sit-down lunch. Some commissioners argued that the county is "penny-pinching" and the current policy wastes gas and mileage. Meanwhile, other commissioners said it was good for office morale for employees to get out of the station on a 24 hour shift. The decision has been tabled until the February voting session.
