The Southwest Georgia Council on Aging hears feedback from elderly on which programs to stop, start, and continue
The SOWEGA Council on Aging held a public hearing to get feedback on programs for the upcoming year for approval by the state.
Director Kay Hind says it’s important to get feedback from the people they serve in order to know which programs are serving their needs. “We encourage them to tell us what they like or what they would like to have that they don’t have or what they don’t like” says Hinds.
Suggestions include a walking track, computer lab, and arts and crafts room for the new senior center.
The SOWEGA Council on Aging will hold two more public hearings in Cairo and at the MCLB in early February,
