The Albany Civic Center will host the 34th annual Peanut Farm Show beginning Thursday

Farmers from all over South Georgia say they’re looking forward to Thursday’s show.

“There are classes that focus on economics, production technology, how to treat diseases and weed control, attendees can see the latest equipment, and hear from agricultural experts” says Don Koehler of the Georgia Peanut Commission.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and organizers expect 1,500 farmers to attend.

Side Note - The Southwest Georgia farming industry have donated more than 3 million servings of peanut butter to feed the survivors of the earthquake in Haiti.
