Two bills were introduced in the Georgia House of Representatives to ban texting while driving
Representatives Allen Peake and Amos Anderson introduced legislation to fine any driver found guilty of reading, writing, or sending a text message.
Representative Peake’s bill anyone found guilty would be fined $50 to $100 and have two points added to their license.
Representative Anderson’s bill would have a flat $300 fine to anyone found guilty of texting while driving.
