Taylor urges mentoring to students
Susan Taylor, the former editorial director of Essence Magazine, spoke to students at Albany State University today about the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and how they’re completely missing it.
Taylor described King’s message as a baton that should be handed down from generation to generation. Sharing life experiences, Taylor described how she also missed King’s point at times. Taylor is the founder of the National Cares Mentoring Movement and encourages students to spend time passing Dr. King’s message to young children.
